Welcome Kindergarteners and Families!
My name is Ms. Lenz and I am the Kindergarten teacher at Stepping Stones Early Learning Center. This is my second year working at Stepping Stones; last year I was one of the Kindergarten Readiness teachers. I am very excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year! I look forward to getting to know your child and teaching them many new things throughout the 2012-2013 school year.
I would like to share some background information about myself with you. I graduated from The College of St. Catherine in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Preprimary Elementary Education and K-6 Elementary Education. I have spent the last 8 years working with children of all ages both as a classroom teacher and in a home setting. I started my teaching career as a 5th Grade Teacher in Forest Lake, MN and then proceeded to move to Iowa where I taught 3 & 4 Year-Old Preschool students in Center Point-Urbana, IA.
Throughout the next school year I look forward to sharing a variety of learning opportunities with each student. In addition to the core curriculum Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies the students will receive enrichment classes in Character Education, Creative Arts, Spanish, Music, Physical Education including Yoga and Health. Each and EVERY day will be a learning experience and bring your child one step closer to 1st Grade!
I can’t wait to work with all of the children and I know we are all going to have a FANTASTIC school year! I hope to end the year with many new friendships, a great learning experience, and a different way at looking at life through education!
